Kate Hawley is a graduate student in the clinical psychology program at the University of California Santa Barbara. Prior to pursuing graduate school, Kate was the lab manager of the Emotion, Health and Psychophysiology Lab. She graduated with highest honors from the University of California, Santa Barbara in 2009 with a B.A. in Psychology. During her undergraduate career, she worked as a research assistant in the UCSB Close Relationships Lab and interned at the Stanford Children's Health Council and the Harvard Health and Psychophysiology Laboratory. After obtaining her bachelor's degree, Kate worked as a research assistant for two years at Brigham and Women's Psychiatry Neuroimaging Lab before joining the Emotion, Health, and Psychophysiology Lab in 2011. She is interested in the study of intimate interpersonal relationships and the effects that relationship stressors have on psychological health and well-being.
