Kristin Shutts

Kristin is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychology at the University of Wisconsin, Madison. From 2006 - 2009, she conducted research in the EHPL as a postdoctoral fellow of the Harvard Mind/Brain/Behavior Institute. Her research interests lie in the origins of object cognition and social cognition. She has a long-standing interest in how infants and children perceive and categorize objects, as well as a more recent, and now primary, interest in how infants and children apprehend their social world. She employs a variety of behavioral methods, as well as psychophysiological measures, to study continuity and change in concepts across development.
