August 8, 2025

Our team’s latest paper, now accepted in Nature Human Behavior, analyzes data from over 70,000 adults worldwide to uncover how different aspects of socioeconomic status (SES) shape daily life. Key findings show that education is more strongly linked to health, while income is more closely tied to well-being.
Importantly, individual-level SES exerts a greater impact than community-level factors, highlighting distinct pathways through which inequality influences health and happiness.
