Anna Beattie
Anna Beattie is a rising senior at International High School in San Francisco. She is currently a part of an IB program and plans to get her diploma next year. Anna wishes to study psychology and journalism in college.
Carolena Galvin
Carolena Galvin is a senior at International High School completing the French Sciences Baccalaureate. She is interested in Cognitive Science and Clinical Psychology and hopes to continue studying these fields in college. In the future, she hopes to acquire a greater understanding in the science behind the development of mental illnesses.
Hannah McCarthy Potter
Hannah McCarthy Potter graduates from Scripps College in the spring of 2020 with a major in Psychology and a concentration in Neuroscience. She plans to further her education by earning a PhD. in Clinical Psychology with a specialization in Health Psychology. She hopes to improve the quality of life for those who struggle with chronic illness.
Mansee Khurana
Mansee Khurana is studying Psychology and Philosophy at New York University. Her research interests include moral decision-making and cognitive neuroscience. Outside research, she enjoys writing, watching Jeopardy and being around cats.
Stephanie Zhi
Stephanie Zhi is a rising senior Psychology major at Santa Clara University. She is broadly interested in child and adolescent development, and hopes to pursue a Ph.D. in Psychology after graduation.
AnnaMaria Landi
AnnaMaria Landi is a rising senior at Bryn Mawr College, where she is pursuing a major in psychology and a minor in neuroscience. She plans to attend graduate school and eventually carry out research related to public health and public policy.
Charlotte Scott
Charlotte Scott is a rising junior at Haverford College planning to major in psychology and comparative literature. She started a chapter of Active Minds at Haverford and hopes to attain a PhD in clinical psychology. Charlotte is particularly interested mental illness, social relationships, and the impact of culture on psychology.
Josh Geselowitz
Josh Geselowitz is a rising junior at Swarthmore College, where he is majoring in Math and Psychology. He is particularly interested in urban, social, and cultural psychology. He hopes to pursue a PhD in psychology or a psychology-adjacent field one day.
Nyana Morgan
Nyana Morgan is a rising senior at Georgetown University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Disability Studies. She is from Long Island, New York. She is really excited to be a part of EHPL and looks forward to working with everyone this summer.
Victoria Stokel
Victoria Stokel is a rising junior at the University of Michigan currently pursuing a BA in psychology and a minor in Science, Technology, and Science. She plans to pursue a PhD in health psychology, and intends to research addiction, addictive behaviors, and emotional distress.
Bea Tan
Bea Tan is a recent graduate from Seattle University with a B.A. in psychology. She is currently interested in behavioral health and emotional psychology and hopes to pursue a career in one of these fields.
Emily Diamond
Emily Diamond is a rising senior at Scripps College majoring in Psychology and minoring in Spanish. She is particularly interested in embodied cognition, social influence, and the mental and physical effects of stress. Emily plans to pursue a PhD in social psychology.
Lauren Chacon
Lauren Chacon grew up in Southern California and is currently a rising senior at Reed College in Portland, OR. In her academic life, she loves to study how we understand empathy and how our ability to empathize is impacted in various settings by implicit factors such as biases and stereotypes.
Philip Swigon
Philip Swigon is a rising junior at Oberlin College and Conservatory, majoring in Psychology and Bassoon Performance, and is passionate about studying the mind-body connection and how the fields of music and social psychology interact with it. He aspires to become a psychiatrist specializing in child and adolescent development.
