Angelo Winings
Angelo Winings is a rising senior studying psychology at Bard College in New York. Specific interests include cognitive reappraisal and regulation as well as non-traditional treatment methods for disorders. Future plans include graduate studies, with a focus in developing more culturally inclusive means of diagnosis and treatment for underrepresented communities.
Audrey Glosson
Audrey Glosson is a rising sophomore at UC Davis, majoring in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. Audrey is particularly interested in researching the mind body connection, as well as neurodevelopmental disorders and their underlying causes. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a PhD in clinical psychology and conduct research.
Claudine Narayan
Claudine Narayan is a rising senior at the University of California, Berkeley studying Psychology. Her research interests include mood and sleep disorders, and the mind-body connection. She aspires to become a psychiatrist specializing in psychosomatic medicine.
Dominique Valencia Pillos
Dominique Valencia Pillos is a rising senior at the University of California, Berkeley majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology and minoring in Ethnic Studies. She is passionate about the intersections of wellness and the greater conditions that help or hinder it, as well as the biological and psychological mechanisms of stress resilience particularly among minority communities. She hopes to become a physician that uses her platform for advocacy and health equity.
Ella Kauffman
Ella Kauffman is a rising senior at the University of Oregon where she is pursuing a BS in Psychology and a minor in Business. Her interests include the Psychology of human behavior and emotion. Ella hopes to pursue a career in Clinical Psychology following her graduation, with hopes of one day becoming a therapist.
Esha Chawla
Esha Chawla is a rising sophomore at UCLA, pursuing a major in Psychobiology. She is interested in using psychophysiology methods to study how people attempt to control their racial biases. Esha is excited to be a part of EHPL and looks forward to working with the team this summer.
Grace Corrigan
Grace Corrigan is a rising junior at Scripps College majoring in Psychology and minoring in Linguistics. She is particularly interested in language acquisition and child development and hopes to eventually work as a speech therapist for children with autism.
Jason Ray
Jason Ray is a senior at Sonoma State University, majoring in Psychology and minoring in Applied Statistics. He is interested in the study of personality, mental conditions, mindfulness, and meditation. Jason would like to go onto graduate school to further learn how to improve life quality through the use of psychology.
Julenne Ng
Julenne Ng is a rising junior at University of California, Davis, where she is pursuing a major in Neurobiology, Physiology, and Behavior. She is particularly interested in learning about cognitive functioning and about the mind-body relationship. Julenne hopes to pursue a Physician Assistant master’s degree after completing her Bachelor’s degree.
Karishma Singh
Karishma Singh is a senior at California State University, Sacramento. Her wide range of research interests includes relationship dynamics, neuropsychology, and stigma/shame associated with mental health. She intends to obtain a PhD in clinical psychology and use her education and research to help bring awareness of mental health to cultures and families in need.
Lindsey Rosenthal
Lindsey Rosenthal is a rising junior at Smith College, majoring in Neuroscience and a minoring in Statistical & Data Sciences. She plans to attend graduate school and pursue a career in the research field. She is particularly interested in cognitive development and behavioral neuroscience.
Raihan Alam
Raihan Alam is a rising sophomore at Lehigh University, double majoring in Psychology and Political Science. He is particularly interested in embodied cognition, and how beliefs of individuals manifest within their physiology. He hopes to pursue a PhD in Clinical or Personality Psychology and become a lecturing professor.
Roman Zinnes
Roman Zinnes is entering his final year at Penn State University with a focus on psychology and neuroscience. While currently exploring environmental psychology, he is looking forward to learning more on the west coast. Roman lives in Maryland and enjoys soccer and traveling.
Sanya Mital
Sanya Mital is a rising senior at the University of California, Irvine, where she is majoring in Psychology and minoring in Public Health. She hopes to pursue a career in Clinical Neuropsychology as she is interested in understanding the neurological changes that occur in people with mental health conditions.
Trevor Crowell
Trevor Crowell is a rising junior at the University of California, Davis, where he studies Psychology. His research interests include decision making, risk assessment and the socio-biological underpinnings of the human emotional experience of fear. After graduation, Trevor intends to pursue a PhD in Behavioral Neuroscience or Personality Psychology.
Vanessa Paravati
Vanessa Paravati graduates from the University of Arizona in May 2020, with a bachelor’s degree in Psychology. Her research interest includes children’s social experiences and its effect on a child’s overall health and wellbeing. She plans to earn a Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology with a focus in child psychology.
Victoria Lacombe
Victoria Lacombe is a rising sophomore at Yale University planning to major in Cognitive Science with an emphasis in Psychology and Economics. She is broadly interested in the field of behavioral economics, and fascinated by how stress, social influence, and reward impact decision-making.
